Erik Gross doing A little over a lap at Pacific Raceways in a '95 VR-4. Testing overlay capabilities of some software I wrote that uses datalogger output from Shiver's datalogger.

Erik, you further make me upset that Shiver's software doesn't work for OBD -II. I'm still stuck with OBD-II PocketLOGGER. Which isn't BAD, but stil l nothing compared to Shiver's setup. :( Could I ever bribe you to write that kind of software for the output on PocketLOGGER? :)

Actually, I'm working on making the software work with *any* datalogger out put, as long as it's in a CSV file format and I know what the columns are. Actually, I found, through writing this software, that either my vid eo camera doesn't have a stable clock, my Palm doesn't have a stable clock , or something is funky in Shiver's software :-( Bottom line is that the data gets out of sync with the video after about a minute. I tried using a gain/offset style correction, and the jitter is all over the place (it's not even consistent in how much it's off). To see if it's a limitation of the Palm, I'm going to try playing around with an LM1 with the auxbox datalogger. If I have stable data, then it'll be a LOT easier. Shoo t me an e-mail (you can find my e-mail address on my website (www.rubberdu ckyracing.com) and lemme get your data from you. If you have a short vide o (that goes with the data)I can download from somewhere, I can use your d ata to test the generic capabilities of the software...

Really nice software can it be purchased? I'm building a vr4 1997 and I am going to put a computer in the car with a Lillaput Touchscreen monitor in the dash. The soft ware would be a nice feature for the data logger.
